Areli Garcia
Counselor Intern
Areli earned her bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development (MFHD) with emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University-Provo. She holds a master’s degree in Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) through Liberty University. A native of Mexico, Areli is trilingual and speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
Areli has professional experience with the Utah Division of Child and Family services, the Utah Foster Care Foundation as a Spanish Trainer, and Clinical Consultants. She is currently completing her practicum at Pebble Creek Counseling Center in Tooele, Utah. She is a certified SYMBIS facilitator and is currently working toward certification as a Growth Climate facilitator. With nearly 20 years of experience presenting and providing training in both Mexico and the United States, Areli works with a diverse range of clients and brings a culturally informed compassionate approach to her counseling practice.
